Michael Joseph Benson, of Kingston, and formerly of Pembroke passed away on November 15, 2011. He was 55 years old. Michael was the owner and operator of Michael's Mulch in Pembroke for 29 years. Beloved husband of 33 years to Jane Karen Benson. Loving son of Alta J. and the late Charles E. Benson. Son in law of John W. Glinski and the late Vera Glinski. Brother of Paula M. Benson, Holly A. Noyes and her husband Joe, Susan J. Keenan and her husband John, and the late Paul R. Benson and his wife Nancy. Uncle of Daniel Michael, Christopher Everett, Jesse Elliott, Erik Everett, and Sarah Anne. Michael is also survived by his Godmother Jean M. Carlson, and his late Godfather Fredric A. Norian.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 20th from 1-5:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14). A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St (Rt. 3A) Duxbury, on Monday November 21st at 10:00 AM. Internment will be private.
