Obituary of Charles W. Johnson

Charles W. Johnson, age 73, of Carver, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
Mr. Johnson was a cranberry grower and owner of Mahutchette Bog in North Carver and an owner of Native Pine Saw Mill in South Carver. He was a former Superintendent of the Cranberry Corporation in Wareham and worked at North Carver Pine and was a truck mechanic at Suddard Ford in Wareham.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Mosher) Johnson; devoted father of Mark S. Johnson of Carver and Eric C. Johnson of Carver; loving grandfather of Andrew Johnson, Adam Johnson, Alex Johnson and great-grandfather of three; dear brother of Priscilla F. Rosenthal of Avon, CT, Richard A. Johnson of South Carver and Bette J. Maki of South Carver; dear son of the late Arne & Hilma (Carlson) Johnson and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Saturday, November 12 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
His funeral service will be held at the United Parish of Carver, 115 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Saturday, November 12 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at the Plymouth County Cemetery, South Meadow Road, Plymouth.
