Theodore A. Paul, 70, of Pembroke, MA and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away too soon on Wednesday, October 12th 2011. He was playing his favorite sport – golf.
Ted was the beloved husband of his wife of 49 years, Patricia, younger brother to Francie Rakos and Walter Paul, dear father to son Steven and daughter Suzanne and loving ‘Pa’ to grandkids Anthony and Zoe.
Ted was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 3rd, 1940, he graduated from Lawrence High School – Class of 1957, and served in the Army for two years. Ted was a machinist and welder by trade and owned his own company – Mettaloys for many years in Lawrence.
Ted lived a full and adventurous life; he was an avid golfer, golfing almost daily. He enjoyed mountain climbing – he climbed many local peaks with his friends and family as well as conquering the Grand Tetons and Mt. Rainier. He also had his private pilots license.
He retired to Pembroke in 1998. He enjoyed his retirement golfing, spending time with his family at Scusset Beach and in Florida, and teaching his grandkids to fish, golf, play tennis, ride bikes and about flying.
There will be a Memorial Service at Shepherd Funeral Home in Pembroke, MA on Saturday, October 22nd at 11am.
