Obituary of Connie Lou Deeter

Please share a memory of Connie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mrs. Connie Lou (Klinefelter) Deeter, age 81, passed from this world on Sunday evening, March
3rd, 2024. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Denver Deeter, and her two older brothers,
Bob and Tedd.

She is survived by her two younger brothers, David and Joseph (Donna), her sisters-in-law
June Klinefelter and Roberta Jones, along with her three children Scott (Kim), Darci Wolovich,
and Matthew (Stephanie). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Taylor and Hannah; Brianna, Michael, Cheyenne, Katarina, Violetta, Logan, Jaxton, and Marisol; Sebastian and Sydney. Additionally she was
‘Aunt Connie’ to many beloved Nieces and Nephews.

Connie was a long time active member and Organist for St. Paul’s Church of the Nazarene in
Duxbury, MA. She was an entrepreneur, selling home party products such as Avon, Sarah
Coventry, and eventually creating her own home party business selling handcrafted Scrimshaw
created by Gould Products Incorporated. Connie also worked for Rockland Trust Company
before she retired from Aviva Life Insurance Company as an Annuity Analyst. Connie had many hobbies and interests including knitting, sewing, crocheting, reading, meeting authors, attending live music performances, walking, travel, and most importantly, her family. She made many decisions through her life that benefited her family over herself, and
she did so with great joy.

Connie was a breast cancer survivor, and was extremely proud to have completed the Avon 3
Day Walk to End Breast Cancer in 2002, just before her 60th birthday. She walked 60 miles in
just 3 days!

Connie spent her earliest years in and around Niagara Falls, NY before moving to Quincy, MA
to attend Eastern Nazarene College. It was there that she married Denny and they settled down
to have a family, living first in Scituate, then Kingston, and finally Halifax. After the untimely passing of her beloved Denny, and her children relocating to other states, Connie moved to Pittsboro, NC to be close to Darci and her grandchildren. She enjoyed 11
years being close to them, and loved her little yellow house on the hill there. Her final move was to Colorado to be close to her son Matt and his family. She loved the mountains and the snow, and participated in many activities in her community. While she could no longer drive by this time, she loved to go on outings up into the mountains, visiting museums, thrift shopping, or just being with her new friends.

Connie’s family invites you to join them on Tuesday, March 19th at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street,Kingston, MA. Visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00pm, with an informal memorial service taking place at 6:00pm. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories of Connie. While the family welcomes flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Connie’s name are also greatly appreciated.
