Donald "Pixie" Park passed away at his home at the age of 88 on January 4, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Donald is survived by his children, Donald Park Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Pembroke, Gwen DeVasto-Waskek and her husband Paul of Bourne, Gretchen George and her husband Jay of Boston, and Katrina Park and her fiancé Wayne Paige of Abington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Philip Devasto and his wife Amanda of Portland, Oregon, Lindsay Park of Pembroke, Lauren Harrington and her husband Parker of Pembroke, Courtney Jones and her husband Bobby of Hoboken, New Jersey, Andrew George of Palm Springs, Florida, Christopher Park and his wife Jackie of Pembroke, Ryan George of Mifflinville, Pennsylvania, and Jillian Park-Paige of Abington. Donald is also survived by his 3 great-grandchildren, Brady and London Harrington and Christopher Park Jr. He also leaves behind his brother Lewis Park and Shirley Devore of Milton, Doris Little and her husband David of Vancouver, and Les Park and his wife Brenda of Port Charlotte, Florida. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Gladys Park, his sisters Patricia O'Brien and Marion Park, his brother Robert Park Jr. and his beloved wife Roberta Park. Born in Milton in 1929, Donald worked for more than 69 years as a builder for Sealund Corporation. He was a Marine after enlisting at the age of 17 and spent time in Guam and Hawaii while he worked as a radio mechanic. Donald was a hard worker and a family man whose passions included family, flying and food. He was married to the love of his life, Roberta, for 40 years until her death. Donald piloted his own plane until he was 84 years old and also enjoyed skydiving and skiing. He loved spending time with family and skiing at Loon Mountain In New Hampshire. After selling his ski house, he often flew to Wachusett Mountain to ski for the day. He thoroughly enjoyed family get-togethers and big dinners. Donald will be remembered for his big grin and kind heart. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 15th with a funeral service held immediately following. Interment will be at a private ceremony at the First Church in Pembroke cemetery at another time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's name to World Wildlife Fund or the American Cancer Society.
