Kazuyo (Koizumi) Dwyer, age 71, passed away unexpectedly at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on Sunday, February 5, 2017 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Paul Edward Dwyer of Weymouth, MA for 46 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Deborah (Dwyer) Scurfield and her husband Matthew Scurfield and her grand-puppy Jax of Brockton, her son Daniel Dwyer and his wife Denise (Murphy) Dwyer and their three children, Jake, Jonathan and Devin of Plymouth. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Anne (Dwyer) Woelfle and her husband Al of Weymouth, and their three children Eric, Eddie and Dominic, her brother-in-law Michael Dwyer and his wife Christine of Plymouth, their daughter Leigh of Florida, son Michael and his wife Brittany of Plymouth, James and Rebecca Gouveia of Weymouth, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends, especially her best friends Midge Tomasello and Sumie Motohashi. Born in Tokorozawa, Japan on September 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Isamu and Hiroko (Tazaki) Koizumi. She moved to the United States in 1971 with her husband and daughter. She was a loving homemaker, a devoted grandmother and a dedicated Patriots football fan. She loved entertaining, especially at Christmas. She also loved animals, drinking coffee, shopping and reading Japanese books. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA in Kazuyo's name. Visiting hours will be held Friday Feb. 10, 2017 at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte. 106) Kingston, MA from 5-8 pm.
