Caroline (Connors) Lewis, of Pembroke, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Southwood in Norwell, at the age of 93. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James & Ellen (Nugent) Connors; the beloved wife of the late John F. Lewis and dear sister of the late Alice Mahar, Anna McGinn, Arthur Connors, James Connors and Elizabeth Gaudette. Caroline leaves her daughter, Dianne M. Driscoll and son-in-law Thomas; her son, John F. Lewis, Jr. and daughter-in-law Carole; her grandchildren, Thomas Driscoll and his wife Wendy, Christopher Driscoll, Patrick Driscoll and his wife Heather, Jonathan Driscoll, Ryan Driscoll, Kevin Driscoll, Stephen Lewis and his wife Kathy, Cheryl Lewis, Michael Lewis and his wife Anita, Debbie Kelley and her husband Brian; her great-grandchildren, Caroline, Shannon, Victoria, Samantha, Michael and James Lewis, Finn and Liam Kelley, Emily Driscoll and the late John F. Lewis III. She lived in Brighton and Hyde Park and moved to Pembroke in 1972. Her husband died in 1976. Caroline moved in with her daughter and son-in-law in 1980, where she remained until 2010, when she moved to Southwood. She will be greatly missed! A visitation period will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Friday, December 14, from 9:00-10:30AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Saint Thecla's Church, 145 Washington Street, (Route 53), Pembroke, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Blue Hills Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
