Lawrence R. Hunt, age 66, of Kingston, MA, passed away peacefuly at home on October 27, 2012. Larry retired after 35 years of teaching History and Anthropology at Silver Lake Regional High School. A lifelong resident of Kingston, he was a town historian, a member of the Kingston Continental Marines, and an active member of the Kingston Youth Baseball. Larry was an avid reader and master at solving crossword puzzles. He loved his family, friends, home, golf and traveling. He especially loved telling jokes. He was the beloved husband of Diane L. (Osgood) Hunt; father of Daniel Walter Hunt & his wife Jean of Waltham and the late William Christopher Hunt & his surviving wife Jennifer Hunt Bauman of CT. He is also survived by his sister, Holly Murphy. Larry was the proud grandfather of Emma, Hailey and Will. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter "Pee Wee" and Ruth (McCarty) Hunt. A Celebration of Life is being held at the Sacred Heart High School Auditorium, 399 Bishops Highway, Kingston, MA, on Sunday, November 4th at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry's honor to the William Christopher Hunt Scholarship Fund at Sacred Heart High School, 363 Bishops Highway, Kingston, MA 02364.
