Elineor (Clark) Redford, formally of Concord and Hudson, Massachusetts passed away Thursday, July 20, 2012 with her family by her side, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Massachusetts after a short illness. She was 86 years old. She was born on January 16, 1926 in Somerville, Massachusetts to Lydia and Otis Clark and married to Charles J. Redford of Charlestown for 50 years until his death in February 1995. She spent 25 years working for Digital Equipment Corporation of Maynard, was a member of the Maynard Country Club, enjoyed bowling with her friends, and traveling throughout the United States and Europe. She was a quiet, patient, and loving person who always gave of herself. Loved and respected by all that knew her; she loved life, her family, her friends, and especially her cats, Babes and Buffy. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and her sister, Janet Penny. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Smethurst of Marshfield, Massachusetts; son, Jay Redford of Bethlehem, New Hampshire; sister, Ellen O’Neal and her husband, Jerry; brother-in-law, Jack Penny; brother-in-law, Eddie Theriault and his wife, Betty; six grandchildren, Laura, Lynda, Mhari, Kymberlee, Jennifer, and Charlie; seven great-grandchildren, Melissa, Spencer, Alec, Carson, Erica, Scott, and Colton; and many loving nieces and nephews. Heaven has one more angel. A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date.
