Obituary of John H. Bere

John H. Bere, of Pembroke, a World War II Army Veteran, passed away on June 24, 2012. He was 88 years old. Mr. Bere was very involved in town events in Pembroke for many years, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Beloved husband of Mary E. Bere. Loving father of Robert H. Bere of Pembroke, Eileen M. Jacob of Hanover, Linda Dowd of Plymouth, Kathleen Szoke of Bridgewater, and the late Jay Bere, Lawrence Bere, and Donna Bryan. Brother of Suzanne Bere of Belmont, and Charles Bere of Belmont. Cherished grandfather of 18 and the late David Tundidor, 16 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 28th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thecla's Church, Pembroke on Friday, June 29th at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday June 29th at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Boston Children's Hospital at www.giving.childrenshospital.org.
