Helen G. (Sachs) Lampi, a long time resident of Pembroke, passed away after a long illness on June 5, 2012 at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Toivo W. Lampi. Beloved mother of Mary L. and her husband Aretas C. Floyd of Duxbury, Thomas W. Lampi of Bryantville, and Julianne F. Lampi of PA. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Floyd, Daniel Floyd, Timothy Floyd, and Rebecca Bollinger as well as 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Helen was a Camp Fire leader in Pembroke for many years. She worked as an Amway distributor, cranberry harvester, sales clerk, and worked at Duvals Pharmacy in Bryantville until its closing. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 7th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St (Rt. 58) Halifax on Friday, June 8th at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 (www.alz.org) or The Pembroke Food Pantry, PO Box 295, Pembroke, MA 02359.
