George D. Norris, Sr, of Pembroke, passed away on April 5, 2012. He was 54 years old. George, who was known as "Tonto" to his family and friends, loved stock car racing. He was an avid motorcyclist, and wanted motorcycles to be welcome at his services.
Loving father of George Norris Jr and his husband Jonathan Markowski of Abington, and Wendy Shoaf and her husband Allan of Revere. Brother of Lynne Spencer of VA, Kenneth Norris Jr of LA, Clifton Norris of Hanson, Gregg Norris of SC, Peter Norris of SC, and Esther Norris of Taunton. Former husband of Maria Martin(Hatch) of Pembroke. Grandfather of Aaliyah and Aaron of Plymouth. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 12th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Friday, April 13th at 10:00AM. Interment will be at the Center Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
