Sylvia Ann Robinson Obituary

Sylvia A. Robinson of Kingston passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, after a long and full life. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Robinson and her son Thomas Robinson. She is survived by her other six children, Elizabeth Robinson, Alicia Stone and her husband Michael, Joan Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, James Robinson and his wife Athanasia, and Margaret Worsham and her husband Leslie, and her twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


Born in Hampden, Maine in 1936 to Helen and Irving Pinkham, Sylvia graduated from Central Bible College in 1957. A life-long student she studied at various colleges but culminated her academic career with a Masters of Divinity Degree from Andover-Newton in 1989. Sylvia worked as a teacher, substitute teacher, nursing home aide and Pastor. She and her husband settled in Kingston, MA where they raised their family and were long time members of Mayflower Church.


The focus of her life was her family and she loved any time spent together. She especially enjoyed returning to the simplicity of summers spent on the lake in Gray, Maine.


The family would like to thank the nurses and the care managers at the Plymouth Crossings for their care and compassion in the final year of her life.


A memorial service will be held at Mayflower Church, 207 Main St., Kingston, MA on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11 am, followed by a collation in the Briggs Building.
