Paul A. Fawcett Obituary

Paul A. Fawcett, age 78, of Pembroke, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, at his home, surrounded by his beloved wife, Patricia, and their new puppy, Miss Cookie.


Paul was the devoted husband of Patricia Fawcett and the son of the late Walter and Lorena (Nicholls) Fawcett. He was also lovingly raised by his stepmother, Katherine Fawcett. Paul was predeceased by his brother, Walter Fawcett and his sister Karen Pratt.


Born on May 21, 1947, Paul was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. Following graduation, he discovered his lifelong passion for the trucking industry. Paul spent many years driving both locally and long haul, primarily with Yellow Freight and Roadway. After retiring from driving, he continued his dedication to the industry as Business Agent and Vice President of Teamsters Local 653. Paul was a proud Teamster and honored his association throughout his life.


Paul was a loving and devoted father to Jennifer Siegelman and her husband Scott of Plymouth, Michael Fawcett of Plymouth, and Jill Marino and her husband Brent of Carver. He was a cherished grandfather to Madeline (Marino), and her husband Devin Hallett of Carver, Nicholas Siegelman, Carley Siegelman, Hannah Marino, Abby Marino, Molly Fawcett, Ainsley Fawcett, and Emily Fawcett, and a proud great-grandfather to Laney, Lucas, and Lilly Hallett.


Paul also held a special place in the lives of his former wife Joann Fawcett of Carver and  Patricia’s nieces and nephews: Joanna Cormac‑Burt and Deborah Cormac of Scituate, and Kevin Cormac of Waterbury, Connecticut as well as Johnathan, Elizabeth, Christopher, Nicole and Erin


Paul could often be found enjoying time at casinos, aboard cruise ships, playing Keno, and walking the dogs. Wherever he went, he brought laughter, fun, and joy, truly living life to the fullest.


Calling hours for Paul will be held on April 30th from 10 to12:30 with a Memorial Service at 11:30 at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston.
