Geraldine F Tedeschi Obituary

Geraldine Florence (Bearse) Tedeschi, 93, passed away peacefully on April 15th, surrounded by her loving family. Gerri was born on September 7, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, the youngest daughter of Walter and Mary (Lynch) Bearse. She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Girls High School. Gerri began her working career at United Shoe Machinery in Boston. In 1955, she married Victor Charles Tedeschi, and stayed home to raise her family. Following the passing of her husband, and after her children were in school, Gerri worked at Ropes & Gray in Boston.

Gerri was a woman of profound faith and strength and depended on that faith to guide her for her entire life. She treasured her family, loved them deeply, and was always generous in her affection. She greatly enjoyed family gatherings and being around the people she loved so much. Gerri was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Gerri is survived by her daughters, Susan Brown and her husband Robert of Marshfield, and Christine Meehan and her husband James of Duxbury. She was a proud grandmother to Matthew Corbishley-Brown and his wife Sara, Andrew Brown and his wife Tara, Brendan Meehan and his wife Megan, Emily Nee and her husband Casey, and Christopher Meehan. She delighted in her great-grandchildren, Callum and Bennett Corbishley-Brown, and Matylda and Weylyn Brown. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband who passed in 1962, Gerri was predeceased by her infant daughter Nancy Ann, and Gerri's siblings Dorothea Scanlon, Eleanore Splaine, Eileen Cordery and Walter Bearse.

Services to honor Gerri's life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, MA, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church in Duxbury, MA at 10:00 a.m.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the entire staff of the Memory Care Unit of Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston, MA, whose loving and devoted care to Gerri was a constant source of comfort.
