Sandra Lydia (Dahl) Landstrom
Sandra Lydia (Dahl) Landstrom, lovingly known as Sandy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12th, following a brief hospitalization. She was 87 years old.
Born on April 26, 1938, in Boston, Sandy was the daughter of Alfred and Olga Dahl. She spent her early years in Missouri. After the unexpected passing of her father, Sandy and her family returned to Massachusetts.
Sandy graduated from North Quincy High School in 1956 and went on to attend and graduate from Pierce Secretarial School. Sandy began her professional career with the National Fire Protection Association, where she worked for several years. In 1961, Sandy married Paul Landstrom. Together they built a home and raised their three daughters in Halifax, Massachusetts.
Sandy later worked for many years at BFDS in Quincy, MA before retiring. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted and active member of The Lutheran Church of the Cross in Hanover, where her church community meant a great deal to her throughout her life.
Sandy will be remembered for her generous spirit, warm heart, and joyful laughter. She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly, including her three daughters: Diane (James) Ross of Raynham, MA; Laura (Greg) Ludes of Portsmouth, NH; and Lisa (John) Peterson of Scituate, MA. She also leaves eleven cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, along with many dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sandy was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Dahl.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 25th - 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Cross. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 77 Rockland Street, Hanover, MA 02339 or to a charity of one’s choice.
