Marie Frances Donovan, 88, Died peacefully with her loving family at her side,

Marie is preceded by her parents Joseph and Mary Dowd, her siblings Dorothy McCarthy, Brothers Joseph Dowd II, Edward Dowd and her beloved husband of 58 years William J Donovan II.

She leaves behind her devoted children, William J Donovan III, Linda J Crawford, Pauline Donovan, Amy Parker and Husband Ted, Marie was a proud and loving grandmother to Kial Conway and Jeffrey P Crawford and his wife Sinead, along with many adoring Nieces and extended family.  Marie also Leaves behind sister-in-laws Susan Shannon and Sheila Stradring.

Marie was truly one of a kind- a woman of deep kindness, compassion, and warmth. affectionately known as “Saint Marie” by our father, she had a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met, if you knew Marie, you would love her.

As a young woman Marie worked at the Boston Edison Company where she formed lifelong friendships, she later worked at the Jordon Hospital in Plymouth, a role she found especially meaningful and fulfilling, once again building cherished relationships along the way.

Marie loved the Boston Red Sox, Boat rides and puttering around her yard, she loved lunches with her close friends and watching the neighborhood kids on their bikes and scooters from the comfort of her den window.

Calling hours for Marie will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home located at 216 Main st. Kingston, Ma on Saturday April 25th from 4 to 8pm.
