Charlene “Cookie” Mickevich Obituary

Charlene “Cookie” Mickevich, 84, resident of Carver, passed away on March 13, 2026 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Mickevich and the devoted mother to the late Michael S. Mickevich, also of Carver.

She is survived by her loving son John (Teddy), her daughter-in-law Allison, her sister Claire, her daughter Charlene, and many relatives from the Murphy, White, and Anglin families. She also leaves behind many friends from her neighborhood, and co-workers from her years with the Boston Public Schools, all of whom will miss her terribly.

Born and raised in Boston, Cookie moved to Carver in the mid-eighties. She was very proud of her decades-long career as an administrative assistant with the Boston Public Schools, where she was known as a powerhouse organizer and project manager. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, visiting Atlantic City with her husband, and journeying to Las Vegas with her son and daughter-in-law. She loved her many cats and dogs over the years, loved to read, and was a lifelong devotee to her Catholic faith.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday,  March 18 from 4-8pm, at Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver MA.  The funeral mass will be held the next morning, Thursday March 19, at Our Lady Of Lourdes, 130 Main St in Carver at 11:00am
