Linda J. (Levy) Osborne of Pembroke passed away on March 2, 2026 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son Jeffrey T. Osborne, his wife Yingshu, and their daughters Joy Yunxi and Sadie Aiko, her daughter Janet L. (Osborne) Curley, her husband James, and their sons Ryan and Finn, and her beloved cousin Doris (Baker) Bowser (who was more like a sister to her) and her husband John of Duxbury. Linda was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Evelyn M. (Edwards) Levy of Duxbury. 

Linda was a 1961 graduate of Duxbury High School and was educated as an administrative assistant at the Cambridge School of Business, later working at WGBH in Boston. She was then educated in early childhood education at Quincy College. She was the founder and owner of Center Preschool and Childcare, formerly of Pembroke and now located in Hanover, which has been in business since 1983. 

Linda was a patriotic American and proud resident of Pembroke for over 60 years and was dedicated to community service. She volunteered in many capacities including the Girl Scouts, Pembroke Memorial Committee, Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, and the Council on Aging. She also served as the President of the Alden Kindred of America for a 17-year term and volunteered with the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue and the South Shore Community Action Council. 

Linda demonstrated a love for children early on, beginning with babysitting for neighborhood families as a teenager, through her career in early childhood education, and as a loving mother and grandmother. She also found renewal in nature and the water, frequently going to Duxbury Beach and local conservation lands. 

Visiting hours will be held from 9 am to 11 am with a memorial service at 11 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street in Kingston. Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury at 12:00.
