Judith N Kivi, 84, of Carver, passed peacefully in her home on January 28, 2026 in the presence of family.
Born on March 14, 1941 in Brockton; Judy spent her early years growing up in East Bridgewater, where roller skating was one of many of her fondest childhood joys.
Judy devoted over 30 years to the Town of Carver public schools working in the special education department, where she was especially proud to learn and teach Braille. She and her late husband, Ralph, shared a deep pride in their work as cranberry farmers, where their dry-picked cranberries were sold to Ocean Spray.
A rare cancer survivor, Judy faced life with unspoken strength, grace and resilience. She was loved for her quick one-liners and quiet wit.
She enjoyed needlepoint and reading. She held her faith in Jesus and her Swedish heritage close to her heart. She found joy in time spent at the beach, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with her son, Kevin and sharing ice cream dates with her daughter Katrina and her grandchildren and great grandson Brody. Her faith in Jesus, love of animals, and deep devotion to family defined her life.
She was lovingly known as Mukka to Kayla, Kirsten, Kassandra and Brody.
Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph A. Kivi, and her parents, Harry L. and Sylvia G. Lawson. She is survived by her daughter, Katrina Kivi, and her son, Kevin Kivi; her grandchildren, Kayla Couto and her husband, Sandro, Kirsten Lloyd, Kassandra Lloyd, Molly Kivi, and Jaakob Kivi; and her great-grandson, Brody McFarland. She is also survived by her siblings, Janice Carlson, Joyce Silvia and her husband, Fran, and Paul Lawson and his wife, Marilyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Judy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be private.
