At age 18, Tom became a member of the Plympton Fire Department, where he went on to serve as an EMT and firefighter for 20 years, reaching the rank of captain before his retirement. He was also elected as the town’s tree warden and served the position for 3 terms. Tom worked as a mechanic for Lesco and ran his own tree/landscape business for several years before his most recent employment with Norfolk County Agricultural High School. Tom was Norfolk Aggie’s equipment shop foreman for 20 years and retired early in July 2024 due to health issues. Tom had an incredible work ethic as a mechanic, EMT and firefighter, and was proud to serve his community. When he wasn’t putting out fires or turning wrenches, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, taking fishing trips with friends, and spending time outside.

His grandchildren, Lilliana & Marlee, his loving parents Thomas & Louise Cosato, and his brother Michael Cosato. Tom is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was loved beyond measure and will be sorely missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday February 3rd, from 4-7pm at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 4th at 10am, at the funeral home.
