Brian H. Giroux passed away on December 19, 2025, he was 69 years old.
Brian was born on May 3, 1956 in Waltham, MA to John H. Giroux and Evelyn F. (O'Brien) Giroux. He attended Hanover High School but left at 17 to join the United States Air Force. He was in the strategic Air Command Security Unit, guarding the nuclear missle silos in South Dakota, and also served as a Sergeant in the Military Police at Loring Air Force Base in Maine.
After his military service, Brian became a plasterer and worked on many homes across the South Shore. Eventually he landed a job at Jordan Hospital, working security for the next 20 years. He retired in 2010, moving to Carver where he enjoyed his yard, wildlife, pets, his grandchildren and his best friend Smitty and neighbor Joe Peck.
Brian loved camping and owned many campers over the years, traveling to Maine and New Hampshire.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Linda A. (Weston) Giroux and his loving daughters and spouses: Jacqueline and Donald Flanders, Angela Williamson and her companion Tim Reed, Christine Barnhart and her husband Michael, Elizabeth Amaral and her husband Joseph. He also leaves behind his brothers Bob Giroux and his wife Joan, Christopher Giroux, his nieces, nephews, Sister In Law Brenda Cretinon and her husband Alan and his Mother In Law Jane Weston.
He is preceeded in death by his grandson Jeremy Robert Amaral and his ex-wife Kathleen Palmer, who passed in November.
Calling hours will be held Friday December 26, 2025 from 3-7pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. Carver, MA a funeral Mass will be held Saturday December 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am with a burial at Plymouth County Cemetery, So. Meadow Rd., Plymouth, MA.
