John Peter (Jack) Sullivan Obituary

John Peter (Jack) Sullivan, 82, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025 in Kingston, Massachusetts.


Beloved husband of 47 years to Roberta (Gilbert) Sullivan. He was the cherished father of John Sullivan of Halifax, Launa (Sullivan) Smith and her husband Brian of Osseo, Wisconsin, Joseph Sullivan and his wife Michelle of Pembroke, and Dennis Sullivan and partner Sandy Beaton of Pembroke. Jack was a loving grandfather to Zachary and his wife Kenzie, Erik, Nicole, Mace, Kole and great grandfather to Liam. 


Jack was born in Hingham, Massachusetts to the late John and Rose Eleanor Sullivan and cherished brother of Sheila Fahy of California, Kathleen Sullivan of Quincy, Paul Sullivan and partner Amy Lake of Abington, and Eileen and brother-in-law Jim Holzman of Carver. Jack is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Milby of Alaska. Jack is also lovingly remembered by many caring nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 


Jack retired as a carpenter out of the Boston union. He enjoyed diving, boating, hunting, camping, and fishing. He loved going to car shows and spending time by the ocean. Jack loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was always full of stories and had a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.  


A celebration of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to Norwell VNA and Hospice 120 Longwater Drive Norwell, MA 02061 nvana.org, who provided exemplary care to Jack.
