Carol R. Imlay Obituary

Carol R. Imlay 88, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Octobler 17, 2025.

Carol was married to the late Richard Imlay for 51 years, devoted mother of Denise Gerhart and her husband Marc, and proud grandmother to Kristin and Steven, each of whom nicknamed her "Nana" as she became forever known.

Carol, daughter of the late David G. and Muriel E. Ross, sister of Donald, also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews as well as her cherished cat by the name of Buddy.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Carol graduated from Dorchester High School in 1955 and met her future husband at Armstrong World Industries shortly thereafter. She became a school bus driver at Scared Heart in Kingston and for the Plymouth Public Schools for many years and particularly loved the sports runs for each school.

Nana particularly liked swimming and was an avid Candlepin Bowler and will be sadly missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, from 4-6 PM. A graveside service will occur on Thursday, October 23 at the Central Cemetery in Halifax at 10 AM.
