Mark R. Schatzl, 54, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved him most in this world.
He is survived by his son Jack Schatzl. He is also survived by his loving fiancé, Missy Ahearn of Cranston, RI and his future mother in law, Norma Ahearn. He also leaves behind his beloved English Bulldog, Mojo.
Mark was a devoted jeweler for 20 years, repairing, designing and selling jewelry. He was an expert in diamond sales. Mark loved home town sports. His favorite thing was spending time with Jack, watching sports and movies. They loved debating with each other about politics, religion and sports. Mark was also a certified scuba diver. He loved planting flowers and designing flower boxes around the yard. He also loved to travel with family. Mark had a love of music and enjoyed going to concerts with his friends and family. At the end of Mark’s life he was able to give the gift of life by being an organ donor. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston on Monday, September 8th from 11:00 to 1:00pm. A prayer service will take place at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 1:00pm. A commital service will directly follow at the Centre Cemetery in Pembroke.
