It is with deep sorrow we mourn the passing of our sister, Katharine (Cappy) Frain Malone.  Cappy was born on May 11,1951  and passed away after a trying illness on August 14, 2025,    surrounded by her loving family.

She is predeceased by her husband, Albert Eng, Jr.  Her parents Robert and Eleanor Malone.  Her loving brother Rob ( to whom she selflessly dedicated much time and care) and her sister Maryl Malone. 

Cappy was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA and Boston University with a degree in Art History. 

She worked for many years as an executive in the insurance field in the financial district of Boston.  She later worked with Albert at his business Banks and White, in Hingham, MA. 

Cappy’s love of art followed her in life with her connections to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. 

Cappy is survived by her sisters. Jane Smith,  Margaret Spidle, Martha Malloy and Nancy Clarke. She is also survived by her adored nieces and nephews Ryan Smith, Emily Bodel, Elizabeth Smith, Margot Cahoon, Andrea Hennigan, Eleanor Malloy, Jack Malloy and Katie Robertson. Cappy leaves 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces. 

Cappy and Albert shared wonderful years on the shores of Green Harbor Beach and lived for many years on Peggotty Beach in Scituate, Ma. 

Cappy possessed a classic, unique soul.  Unending knowledge and wisdom were her gifts.  Her altruistic life was shared with her loving family and all those who had the honor to know her.  She will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 21st at Forest Hills Cemetery, in Jamaica Plain at 11:00am.
