Richard J. Bayramshian Jr., 54, of Kingston, MA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 24th.
“Dickie”, the only son of Janet and Richard Bayramshian, Sr. was born on January 14th in 1971. He grew up in Duxbury, and graduated high school in 1989. Although he played several sports including football at DHS, his favorite sport by far was basketball. For Dick, scoring the first several points at his team’s semi-final game at the Boston Garden was just as thrilling as winning the State Championship that same year. I Dick also played basketball for Framingham State College, where he earned his degree in education. He became a beloved and esteemed educator who was dedicated to the students of Halifax for over 30 years. He was proud to serve his community, and found joy in his roles as a third and sixth grade teacher, camp coordinator and counselor, union rep & leader, and passionate basketball & sports coach. Dick enjoyed his annual summer role as Security Supervisor of the Marshfield Fair for over 30 years as well. He had an infectiously positive personality with a knack for storytelling - a gift he undoubtedly inherited from his beloved father, and he could always make you laugh. Dick was a faithful friend to many and he truly cherished his family. His favorite roles above all others was being a devoted father and “papa”.
Dick Bayramshian is survived by his mother Janet, his children Kei and Brian Bayramshian of Marshfield, his sisters Kellie Bayramshian and Kathe Rowan of Duxbury, and his partner and companion Lenett Gomes of Scituate, along with her daughter Alexandra and their beloved grandson Amir. He also leaves behind his nieces, Evy Bayramshian and Molly Yakubian, nephew Jack Teravainen, and brothers-in-law Paul Rowan and Gary Pellegrini. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Bayramshian, Sr.
