Dorothy Ann (Roper) Jenkins of Scituate, passed away on June 20, 2025 at South Shore Hospital.

There will be a private service with immediate family and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dorothy was born in Boston to Florence and Joseph Roper on July 11, 1936.  She was a graduate of St. Gregory High School in Dorchester. She went on to have several jobs including the courthouse and Norwell Schools.

Dorothy (Dottie, Dot) was a faithful supporter of the Boston Red Sox and never missed a game. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She also loved dancing, playing card games and going to the beach and the Scituate Light House.  She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her 6 children, Michael Jenkins, James & Katherine (Bilodeau) Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Barbara (Jenkins) & Stephen Borrelli, Catherine (Jenkins) & Andrew Papadopolous, and Mary Louise (Jenkins) & John Conneely, her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Harold Jenkins and grandsons, Demitri Papadopolous and Jordan Jenkins.

The family would like to extend thanks to the wonderful, kind care she received at South Shore Hospital, Cardigan Nursing Home and the Norwell VNA.
