Richard John Gaucher, 59, of Lakeville, MA, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, June 6th, 2025.
He is survived by his three loving daughters, Tori Gaucher of Plymouth Jacqueline Briere and husband Andrew Briere of Plympton, and daughter Ericka Martel and husband Richard Martel III of Quincy. He is the beloved grandfather of five grandchildren Noah Gaucher, Madison Briere, Ava Gaucher, Mckenna Briere and Delaney Briere. He is also survived by his fantastic six siblings, Brenda Castanha of Mississippi, Maureen Jerome and her husband Edward Jerome of Tennessee, Joan Gregoire and husband Robert Gregoire of Alabama, Kathleen Burgess and husband Kenneth Burgess of Florida, Wayne Gaucher and wife Donna Gaucher of England and William Gaucher and wife Lynne Gaucher of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Helen Moran and Richard Gaucher. He was a loving, uncle, cousin and friend.
Rick was a devoted Brockton Police Officer for over 30 years. He then went on to work with the Brockton Housing Authority after retirement. Outside of work Rick loved to spend time with his beloved daughters and grandchildren. He was a resident of Lakeville for almost thirty years in the house which he raised his three girls in. Anyone that knew Rick could attest to his great personality, his loving nature and his ability to make anyone in his presence laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St.Carver on Wednesday, June 11th from 4:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Blessed Kateri Church, Plymouth on Thursday June 12th at 11:00am. Burial services will directly follow at Centre Cemetery in Carver.
