Maureen (Shea) Williams of Carver, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at her home on May 29, 2025, at the age of 74 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born to the late Robert and Constance (Jason) Shea, Maureen was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Curt” Williams. Together, they created a home where Curt loved to cook, and everyone felt welcome. She always had a soft spot for animals- especially for her dog, Charlie.
‘Mo’ was known for her sharp wit, fiery spirit, and the kind of honesty that never left you guessing. She spoke her mind, often with a smile or a well-timed joke and her boldness was as memorable as her laughter.
She is survived by her loving siblings; Michael Shea and his wife Cynthia, Patricia Thibeault and her husband Dennis, and Richard Shea and his wife Ellen. She is also remembered by her brothers-in-law Henry Williams, Pete Williams, and Tim Williams, and her dear lifelong friend Charlotte Marando, whose friendship brought her many years of laughter, comfort and joy. She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and was greatly adored by her great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her many lifelong friends, Bristol Hospice and TLC Home Care, for the support and love they provided Mo in her final months. Her kindness, loyalty, and the special way she touched the lives of those around her will never be forgotten.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd at 11:30AM at the Union Cemetery in South Carver.
