Obituary of Carol J. Caruso
Carol J. Caruso , 83, of Kingston MA. passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 15, 2025 at her home in Kingston surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1941 in Manchester NH, a daughter of the late Adrien and Julia (Pecor) Sevigny. She is predeceased by her beloved sisters Gloria Lawrence and Gail Ryan and grandson Michael Wes Bohin.
She was born in Manchester NH and moved to Claremont NH where she was an avid ice skater and was a member of the Claremont skating club with her sisters and proudly wore the beautiful costumes her Mother made for her and her sisters, it was truly a family affair.
Carol and her family moved to Whitman when she was a teenager and she quickly became involved in the community and joined several clubs at school. Always the social butterfly, Carol made friends immediately, most of which remained her lifelong friends. She was known for her smile and compassionate heart.
After graduation, Carol married, started a family and eventually settled in Kingston, MA, where she raised all 5 of her children and resided for the remainder of her life.
Carol, always the caregiver, loved life, her family, cherished friends and her loyal cat Marley. Some of Carols greatest moments and days were spent with her children and grandchildren; watching them grow up, playing their various sports and activities, spending endless hours at the beach, hosting gatherings, feeding friends and neighbors; she was well known to offer chip and dip and cheese and crackers to anyone that stopped by. Her garden and yard was a labour of love and you could find her chasing away pesky gophers, she loved cooking and baking, sewing, listening to live music, dancing, watching her soap operas, giving to others in need, and truly enjoying the beauty of life. She always took pride in her children and grandchildren.
Although Carol spent the majority of her early years raising her family, she had a second act as a business owner running Kelly’s Pub for a number of years. Carol spent a number of years caring for her aging parents and enjoyed time with her grandchildren. Most recently Carol embraced herself in the community and cherished her time at the Kingston Senior Center, taking classes, going on trips and enjoying the weekly luncheons with some of her favorite people. She loved dressing up and celebrating all the fun moments and holidays that the center celebrated and offered. The Senior Center truly was the heartbeat and the highlight of her later life.
Carol was first and foremost a passionate and loving mother to her five children and then as grandmother to her 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is survived by Pamela Devine of Wareham MA, Sherri (Mike) Bohin of Weymouth MA, William (Cindy) Caruso Hampton Beach, NH, Lynn Caruso of Kingston MA and Michele (Doug) Caruso Roeser of Southold NY.
Her grandchildren are Jessica Devine Benedict, Alyssa Devine, Bryan Devine, Kaitlyn Gallagher, Kyle Bohin, Billy Caruso, Maranda Caruso, Ty Wong, and Jack Roeser.
