Ambrose Horton, 92, of Carver, passed away on March 21, 2025. Loving husband to the late Mae (Ellis) Horton. Beloved Father to Josephine Horton, Mae Bergeron, Judy McNeil, Larry Horton, Danny Horton, and Rolly Horton. Ambrose is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as his extended family and friends.

Ambrose received a Purple Heart while serving in the US Army. Ambrose played with his band, “Amb and the String Busters” for over 20 years at the VFW in Plymouth. Ambrose and his band recorded a record at Triple Studio in Boston in 1970 featuring the song, “Fool That I Am”. He owned and operated the Shell gas station in North Carver from the early 1960’s to the early 1970’s and he was also a chef at Ernie's Restaurant in Plymouth for 18 years.

A celebration of Ambrose's life will be held this summer.
