Richard Clark Obituary

Richard Clark of Kingston passed away on February 7 with his family by his side.


He was the beloved husband of Maureen Gilli Clark and the devoted father of


Richard A Clark.


 


Richard was born in Portland, Maine on May 3, 1949. He was the son of the late


Fred and Ingrid (Olson) Clark. He grew up in Portland and graduated from the


University of Maine with a degree in Fine Arts. After college Richard served two years in the


U.S. Army, from 1972 to 1974.


 


Richard later earned a Master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College.


He taught Art for many years in the Plymouth Public School System, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed golf, music, and working on his home. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend who will be missed very much.


 


In addition to his wife and son, Richard is survived by his brother Fred Clark, of


Connecticut; his sister-in- law, Kathleen Gilli, of Kingston; and several nieces,


nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Clark,


of Saco, Maine.


 


All services with be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to


St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
