Ronald Raphael Deas Sr, of Carver, passed away on Sunday, February 2nd 2025. Born in Brockton, he was the son of Anna (Soares) and Manuel Deas.

Ron, is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carla, his children Manuel Deas of Brockton, Adam McCullough and Kerrin Celli of Rockland, Darci Macdonald and her husband Darren of Pembroke and daughter-in-law Nichole Deas of Attleboro.  Also, his ten grandchildren Ronald Raphael III, Bethany, Taylor, Angeline, Destiny, Desiree and Kristy Deas, Isabella McCullough and Colin and Andrew Macdonald as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Raphael Deas, Jr and siblings, Barbara Fernandez, Gerald V. Deas and  Emanuel John Deas.

Ron was a truck driver for over 30 years and came out of retirement to work at Current Medical Technologies. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, his kindness and unwavering support for his loved ones were unparalleled, always offering a helping hand whenever it was needed. Ron loved music, dancing, playing the saxophone and loved to jam with Lenny Baker of Sha Na Na. He was proud of his Cape Verdean heritage and loved to throw a good party, his happy place was manning the grill and chatting with friends and family. 

A memorial celebration to honor Ron's life will be held on Thursday February 13th, visitation will be from 10-11:00AM with a service set to begin at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 58) Carver.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or The American Kidney Fund.
