Obituary of Keith Alan Schofield

Please share a memory of Keith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Keith A. Schofield, 54 passed May 25 due to complications from hip surgery in Walpole, MA.  Born August 28, 1969, to his late parents Buzz and Lynnda Westendorf Schofield.

He was a gentle giant born and raised and graduated from Duxbury High School, Bridgton Academy, and Curry College with a degree in Criminal Justice.  After graduation he traveled throughout Europe soaking up all the history he could.  Keith was passionate about history and would share his knowledge with anyone interested in hearing.

Keith loved to pump iron, listen to rock music, and sportfishing.  He weight trained with professional wrestlers and could bench 500 lbs in his prime. The stories Keith would tell about his roommate Brutus Beefcake were hilarious.  He was invited to race on maxi yachts as a “grinder” traveling to Sardinia and Palma De Mallorca.  He loved The Who, Springsteen, and Hendrix.

He worked for many years at Schofield Properties as a Property Manager, but he didn’t love this job he would rather be at the gym working out and listening to music or spending time with his kids.

Most of all he loved his son Dylan, Fitchburg and daughter Chloe, Fall River.    He was so proud to be their father.

Survived by brother Jeffrey and wife Susan Schofield of Duxbury, sister Melinda and husband Paul Dennett of Kingston.  Brother-in-Law Jay Sullivan, San Diego.  Nephews Austin, Cameron, Westen, Trever, Jay and niece Elisabeth.  He is survived by Godparents Gary Westendorf, CA and Susan Jeffrey, Weymouth and great Aunt Joan Westendorf Holl, FL.
