Nicole Marie Scott Zapolski

51 of Plymouth passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Born in Brockton on December 10, 1972, the daughter of Patricia Scott and the late Raymond Scott. Graduating from Brockton high in 1990, she would go on to Dean College, graduate and earning a degree in arts in 1992.

While growing up in Brockton, she would find her true passion at a young age-dance. She would dance for the Denise Buote Dance for 15 years. After college, she would garner her first job as a dance teacher at the Duxbury Dance Shoppe in Kingston. After assisting for 4 years she would end up purchasing the business in 1999. For 25 years she would have an incredible impact on so many women, young girls and even some boys. The power of her smile and positive attitude would radiate through every child and even the adults cementing her legacy within the community. Nikki was a very active member in The Greater Brockton Dance Teachers Association where she was elected treasurer for 12 years. When she wasn’t working she would balance her life with scrapbooking, family, friends, at the beach, being a foodie, and of course her other home Disney World. Disney World was her “happy place” where she would make memories there with family and friends as she did in the dance community.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Brian Zapolski and daughter Olivia both of Plymouth. Her mother Patricia Scott (née Mazukaitis) of Bridgewater, sister Michelle Talbot (née Scott) and her husband Matthew of Brockton, her nephews Logan and Brayden Talbot, and nieces Ava and Halle Zapolski. Preceded in death by her son Tyler, her father Raymond Scott, and her nephew Drew Hayden.

Nikki was a warm-hearted daughter, wife, mother, godmother, aunt, niece, cousin, mentor, and beloved teacher whose smile that lit up a room, she will be truly missed.
