Jacyln D. Vessey–Baker

October 25, 1987 – May 10, 2024

Jacyln Vessey-Baker 36, passed away at her childhood home on May10, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 25, 1987 in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

Jaclyn is the daughter of the late Jewel Vessey and survived by her father Kevin Baker Sr., boyfriend William Morrisette Jr., sister Jennifer Anderson and brother-in-law David Anderson Jr., brother Kevin Baker Jr., sister Jessie Baker, and her cat Binx (her baby). She was also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As a child she grew up in Humarock for several years then moved to Pembroke with her family. She attended Pembroke High School and then received her GED. Jaclyn worked for 14 years at CDF Corporation for her former boyfriend and boss Tom Nelson.

She loved animals, photography, painting, reading, crafting and concerts. Exchanging pictures of the stars and the moon was one of her favorite things to do with her father. Boating was a big part of her life when she was growing up and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on the water. In 2023 Jaclyn was officially adopted by her father Kevin Baker Sr. which was one of the happiest days of her life and her father’s.

Jax had this special connection with some people, one of them would say a word or give each other a look and they knew exactly what the other one was thinking. She could never stay warm enough and one of her favorite expressions was “if you can’t take the heat, step away from the burn barrel”.

Her smile so bright would light up a room when she walked in. When she laughed you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She was a kind and compassionate person who will forever be in our hearts.

So as we say our farewells to Jaclyn Vessey-Baker,
we say thank you for all that you gave to us in life,
the warmth of your love;
your humor and friendship;
your help, guidance, and wisdom;
and the joy that you brought wherever you went.
Whilst we miss you terribly,
we are thankful that you now have the peace you deserve.
