Obituary of Glenn Hulteen Swanson
Glenn "Swanny" Hulteen Swanson, 68, of Halifax, passed away on February 5, 2024, in Boston, MA. He was born on September 22, 1955, in Brockton. Glenn was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Fern M. Swanson. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Nicole Talbot, and her fiancé Dennis Twofoot.
Glenn is also survived by his sister, Gail Laflash, and her husband Charles, along with his niece Karen Chimwaza and her husband Gift Chimwaza, great-nephew Nathan Chimwaza, and great-niece Emily Chimwaza. He is also survived by his niece Cindy Laflash, great-nephew Riley Laflash, great-niece Kimora "Clover" Laflash, great-nephew Chris "SJ" Laflash, great-nephew Craig Bloem Jr., and great-nephew Jeremy Bloem.
In addition, Glenn is survived by his sister Nancy Morrison and her husband Ned, along with his niece Brandi O'Neil and her husband Michael O'Neil, great-nephew Willem "Billy" O'Neil, and great niece Nina O'Neil. He is also survived by his niece Kami Hammond and her husband Troy Hammond, great-niece Brooke Nadeau, great-great-niece Laila Garcia, and great-great-nephew Luca Truell.
Glenn is survived by his brother David Swanson and his wife Pamela Swanson, as well as his nephew Kyle Swanson and his partner Zach Goldsmith.
He is also survived by his stepsister Valerie Treptow and her husband Fred Treptow, along with his nieces Jenniger Abell and Kerry Rodenroth, stepsister Victoria Baldasarre, and nephew Nicholas Baldassare, stepbrother Stephen Bulman and nephews Andrew and James Bulman, and stepsister Kathee Bulman also survive him.
Glenn is predeceased by his Mother Lenore S. Swanson as well as his Father Robert E. Swanson and stepmother Madeleine Swanson.
Glenn attended Plympton Elementary School and later graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School. He had a fulfilling career working at various companies, including Great Atlantic Fish Company of South Boston, R.M. Kelley Fish Company of South Boston, Appliance Outlet of Hingham, and Appliance One of Middleboro/Hanover.
Outside of work, Glenn enjoyed playing baseball and football in his youth, and Cribbage, 45, golfing, and telling his famous "fish stories" later in life. He had a passion for these hobbies and shared many memorable moments with his loved ones.
Glenn Swanson was a cherished individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
