Obituary of Dorothy Woodward

Dorothy (Dennison) Woodward age 92, of Carver MA, formerly of Mashpee and Canton, MA passed away peacefully on July 25, 2022. Dorothy married her husband, Leroy, in 1949.  They spent 66 wonderful years together until his passing in 2016.  She devoted her life to raising her family.  She had a passion for cooking, camping and being surrounded by her family and friends, and was loved by all.  

Loving mother of Ronald (and his partner Josie Enriquez) of Roslindale, MA, Thomas (and his wife Maria) of Millbury, MA, and Cynthia Silvia (and her husband Deno) of Wareham, MA. 

Cherished Grandmother of Tracy Furtado, Thomas Woodward Jr., Amanda Marshall and Megan Marshall and her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Christopher, Mariah, Jordan and Avarie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her brothers Austin and Howard.

The family would like to extend their many thanks to all her wonderful care givers from Cranberry Hospice, Old Colony Elder Care, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Plymouth, and Michelle.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 29th from 10-11:30 am at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (rt. 58) Carver with a funeral service set to begin at 11:30 AM. Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
