Thomas D. Jacques, 65 of Pembroke MA, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth. Tom was born January 5, 1953 in Weymouth. Place of residence and education was in Braintree. In 1973, Tom attended Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School, Canton. 
Tom was the son of the late Joseph Jacques and the husband of his late wife, Sheila (Gallivan) Jacques of Halifax. Tom leaves his mother, Beryl Jacques of Weymouth, his brother Edward Jacques of Weymouth, his sister Dorothy and husband Donald Large of Florida, sister Linda and husband William Goodrow of Pembroke, and brother William Jacques and wife Mary of Pembroke. As well as nieces and nephews. 
Tom enlisted in the USMC in 1973 during the Veteran Vietnam era. Discharged 1978 with Honorable Service. 1976-1977 listed as CPL T.D. From H.Q. Section. Tom was part of the 1976 Barracks Parade 200th celebration. 1977, Corporal Thomas Jacques served on behalf of the Armed Forces of the United States at the inauguration of Jimmy Carter. 
Tom was a member of the National American Legion of Hanson Post 226 as Commander and then transferred to Hanover in November 2014. He served one year as the Senior Vice Commander of the Hanover Post 149. Tom was a member of the American Legion for 32 years. He will be missed by Frank Murphy and many good friends over the years at the Legion and will be sorely missed. Tom was proud to be a Marine. There was a saying “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”. Yep that was Tom. May you rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
