Bill was a gem as a man and a GIANT as a lawyer. It was truly a pleasure to have known him. Bill helped me out as a title expert and a title examiner on a few cases. His guidance was always more than a help. He always loved to be witty, especially in his column, which has always been treasured by me and thousands of others who couldn't wait to see what next real estate decision bedeviled his sense of the law. Bill, thanks for giving so much and for your kind ways. I already miss you. To your family who misses you beyond words, my deepest sympathies. Ben Hall, Jr. Edgartown

Bev,
We were sad to hear about Bill's passing. Although it has been many years since our Duxbury days I still remember you and Bill teaching the kindergarden Sunday School at Pilgrim Church and our couples tennis nights. However, most of all I remember the closeness you two shared. May all those wonderful memories remind you of a life well lived. Love to you all,
R

To Beverly and all the Hovey family,
So sad to hear of Bill's passing. As we look out at the lake today , we remember the wonderful times we had together. We always admired Bill for being such a family person. I will always value the advice Bill gave to me when I was a young lawyer. He was a mentor to me and he instilled in me the the high moral values he lived by.
Sincerely ,
Simone and Bill

It was so meaningful spending the last days of my father-in-laws's life praying with him and reading Scriptures to him daily, and also, sharing meaningful moments with my mother-in-law. I was blessed during this time, and along with twenty years of cherished memories, I will never forget it.
