Dear Dave:
We arrived home after a short vacation late Tuesday night to read with much sadness of Joan's passing. It was too late to come to the wake for which we are sorry. If we had known a bit earlier I might have been able to cancel my appointments for Wednesday morning, but alas, I could not.
At least Sandy was able to attend the funeral services which she said was beautiful.
Please accept our sincere sympathies. You, Joan, and your family will certainly be in our prayers.
