Kenneth S. Slaven, 40, of Pembroke, died Sept.18 in Pembroke. Son of Frank and Janice (Thiboutot) Slaven of Alabama. Father of Daniel Slaven of Alabama, Jeremy Slaven of Carver, Jamie Slaven of Dorchester, John Paul Slaven of Pembroke, Christopher Slaven of Pembroke, and stepson Justin Flame of Pembroke. He was especially close to his brother Alan Slaven and his wife Cheryl of Pembroke and his sister Pamela Whitlow and her husband Michael of Alabama. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Mon. Sept. 22 at the First Church in Pembroke, Center St. at 12:00 noon. Interment in Center Cemetery, Pembroke. Visiting hours from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke on Sun. 4-7PM Memorial donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
