Obituary of Linda Susan Sargent

Linda Susan (Diotte) Sargent of Duxbury, formerly of Kingston and Braintree, passed away Tuesday April 9th at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a battle with a long illness at the age of 64. Linda was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Charles H. Sargent for 32 years. Born in Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Jeanne Diotte. Linda was the sister of Pamela Whalen and her husband Thomas of Braintree, Patricia Robson and her husband Rob of Weymouth, and the late Norman Diotte Jr. of Braintree. She is survived by her son Jeff Sargent and his wife Crystal of Newport, RI, her daughter Patrice Sargent and Christopher Neuner of Duxbury, her sister-in-law Robin Hall and her husband David of Kingston, friend Kathy Tougas of Middleboro and several nieces and nephews. Linda was active in the community and enjoyed working at Wingate Nursing Home in Kingston and spent many memorable years as a beautician. She loved the beach, travel and spending time with friends. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at The Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street (Route 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 Saturday April 13th at St. Joseph’s Church, 270 Main Street (Route 106) in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to The Legacy Society of Brigham and Women’s and Faulkner Hospitals in the name of Charles and Linda Sargent.
