Obituary of Allan M. Ruderman
Please share a memory of Allan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Allan M. Ruderman, of Duxbury, 78, son of the late Marion (Warren) and Maurice Ruderman of Reading (MA), died on February 6, 2013.
He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years, Lorraine (LeBlanc). He leaves his children, Michael and his wife Susan Cronin Ruderman of Arlington, Robert and his wife Susan Caruso of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Anne Marie Cormier and her husband Raymond of Ashland, and Kevin and his wife Katrina Regan Ruderman of Brookline, and six cherished granddaughters. He leaves his sister Marion Sileo of Lake Placid and Florida.
Upon graduation from Reading High School, Al served four years with the United State Air Force. In his career in the beverage and hospitality industry, he rose from delivery truck driver to statewide sales manager for Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, and national brand manager for Stock Spirits Group. Many in Duxbury will remember him from the 1970s and 1980s when he tended bar at the Windsor House. In retirement, Al enjoyed volunteering with the Duxbury Interfaith Council.
Al was a natural and generous host. He loved good conversation and high spirits. In recent years he was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, when feeding the birds in his backyard in Duxbury, or when enjoying the beach, especially in Aruba with Lorraine.
