Obituary of James E. O'Malley

James E. O'Malley, 12/5/1933-12/11/2012, of East Falmouth, formerly of West Roxbury, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich. He was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In the 1960's, he worked for Harvard University in Harvard, MA, as a radio telescope astronomer. He was an avid runner, enjoyed biking and exercised daily. Loving and devoted husband of the late Ann C. (Doherty) O'Malley; devoted father of James C. O'Malley & his wife Dr. Kathleen M. Keiran-O'Malley; dear brother of Mark O'Malley and the late Charles O'Malley & his surviving wife Mary; dear brother-in-law of Eugene Doherty & his wife Pat, Paul Doherty & his wife Kate, Peter Doherty & his wife Joan, Maureen (Doherty) Powers & her late husband Anthony and the late John Doherty & his surviving wife Ella, the late Kathleen (Doherty) Kelly & her surviving wife husband James; loving "Uncle Jimmy" to many nieces and nephews and grandfather of James E. O'Malley and Sean P. O'Malley of Homosassa, FL. Memorial visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Saturday, December 15, from 9:00-11:00 AM, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 AM.
